A day without crochet....
Well today I got very little crochet done.. sad to say. I finally took the plunge and cleaned the kids room and I obviously made it out unharmed.lol.. I did take me most of the day to get it cleaned up, although I had to take frequent breaks to do the important things.. eat, check emails, feed the kids... so in a nutshell I stalled every chance I got..But now its done and I hope to keep it that way. I am adding "clean kids room" to the top of my daily to do list..
I also got together all my squares that the kind people in the crochet community sent me for the confortghan for my friend.. I will say it again I was totally overwhelmed at the kindness everyone showed. I hope to lay them out and get started joining soon. I am undecided on how I am going to join.. I will probably be looking for advice from the more experienced on this one. ANY SUGGESTIONS GUYS???
I started sign ups for a tea cosy swap I am hosting at Crochet Mania today. I am looking forward to this one...
Well tomm. I will go out in the cold(unfortunately) to go shopping.. I forgot to get diapers and we all know thats a necessity.. Hubby is also sending me to the grocery store. He has decided to REVAMP our diet .. he says. He has read about healthy diets and we are going to start eating better..(I guess).. He has been reading alot about vitamin b17... Do a search on it ..I must say its very interesting. It is wrote that a deficiancy of this vitamin is a cause of cancer. That the FDA knows this and will not make it known to the public because the drug company's will go broke. The drugs given for cancer are supposedly a form of this vitamin. I AM NOT SAYING THIS IS TRUE.. but like I said do a search and form your own opinion. So the grocery list for tomm. includes.. apples, bananas, flax seed(search this one..lots of benefits), cashews, apricots(the wonder food.. do another search on this one) ... I'll keep ya posted on if we can stick to this new habit of eating. The diet also recommends buying certain foods only organically. Says that pesticides are so common on certain fruits and vegetables. BUT really who can afford all the organic foods. Most of the ones that were most commonly "illegally sprayed " I don't buy anyways.. Most of our vegetables come from my parents garden and I put them in the freezer or "can" them. This year I will be attempting my own garden... I am actually very excited. Other than the "BUGS" I love working outside. I am not too friendly with bugs.
Well I am off to bed. I am still feeling bad from this dreadful sore throat and head ache.

Hugs and blessings to all.......

You'll have to keep us posted on your progress with your garden attempt this summer. It is a lot of hard work, but it is so worth it! I know what you mean about cleaning the children's rooms and wondering if you will make it out alive! Hope you can crochet some today. ;)

I am thrilled that you are going to have a garden. I am too. Maybe we can encourage each other. :)

We made the decision to start drinking organic milk. That to me seemed like the most important thing right now. (especially for little Chloe) We are going to make one or two changes to our diet each month so that it isn't a drastic overhaul that we will whimp out on in two weeks. Good luck with everything.

I would love to have a small garden, I guess I have the dreaded memories of our huge one when we were kids and all the bugs. But do have the wonderful memories of all the goodies that came out of the garden and helping my mom doing her canning. But with my dogs the garden wouldn't last very long. I would love to go organic it is supposed to be the best but just can't afford it at the time, so we drink soy milk for now has more in it that regular milk and is healthier.

In the way of cleaning the kids rooms when it comes down to the older boys I just put out the word that if I don't reappear in a few hours to send out a search party :)
