Eye opening day..
I had to put my shopping trip off til this evening after hubby got home from work..He got here at about 4 and I left about 10 after... I had to rush and get home so he could leave for the gym at 6...UGH... Well I made it to wal mart(went yarn crazy again..lol) and to the grocery and pulled in the driveway about 6...Well hubby carried in the bags and left for the gym. About 6:50 my phone rang.. it was my grandmothers phone number which scared me a bit anyways due to the fact that she has only called me once in the 6 years I have lived here. She said " Misty your home" .. uhh yeah. "Well Cindy (my cousin) called and said that there was a really bad accident not far from your place and I was worried about you."she said. MY HEART STOPPED.. I started immediately thinking in my head Oh dear God please let Bobby be alright. I hung up with her and dialed the cell phone of my hubbys friend. It rang like 4 times.. I was praying every second.... Finally he answered... THANK YOU DEAR LORD... He was alright.. He had saw the accident site and they actually landed a flight unit on the highway..only a 4 lane mind you... So I am sure it was extremely bad. I then called my parents to make sure they were both where I was sure they were... It took me a good hour to calm down... My husband has a way of seeing all these accidents... Many happening right in front of him.. One day when I was pregnant with dd #3 we were on our way to purchase a new van..( out of room in the car..lol) Anyways starting up the same stretch of road as the above accident we saw a car going back and forth and for a minute it looked like it was coming towards us..then took a quick change of direction and hit a rock wall. Hubby immediately pulled over and ran over there. The guy was alert but trapped in the car.. THEN another day he came home from work and was SO shook up. Well he went into a story of how he was traveling the same stretch of road and he sees a car doing the same back and forth.. Then it starts flipping through the air so he stopped and was pulling off the road when the car landed right in front of him..and a girl flew half way out the back window... Well he opened his car door and stepped out ..took about 5 steps and out through the window the girl reaches him a baby.. She had slid back down into the back seat.. cut all up.. and unbuckled her baby. The driver had to be cut from the car. Hubby held the baby until the rescue crew arrived... THEN about a month ago he was going to the gym with a few of his friends and they see a truck on its top with a man still inside.. GUESS WHERE??... yep on that same stretch of road. They stopped and helped him out bu cutting his seat belt loose.. This one was not "real" bad. There were actually more accidents that he ran saw .. these just really stick in my mind because they were in the same area...
ANYWAYS back to my point.. I realize how much I depend on God and anytime I am troubled, worried, upset.. he is the first thing that pops in my head.. I talk to him and he gives me peace. I could never thank him enough for all he has done for me. I thank him daily in my prayers..(numerous times) but still I feel I am not doing enough in spreading the word.. letting my light shine. Showing everyone what an important part of my life God is and how you don't have a complete life until you accept the good lord into your life. Your eyes are not open to the beauty of life until you have God on your side. I went to church all through my life .. my mom brought me up in Sunday school and youth and those memories are so special to me. I have yet to do this for my children and am really disappointed in myself for it. We attend bible school each year and they have a ball .. but I have not been able to find a church in the area with a program for the kids. Seems that most of the churches in this area are filled with mostly elderly. I find this sad and wonder whats going to happen when the elderly are gone.. Are the churches going to be gone also?? It is at the TOP of my to do list to get more actively involved in church. I am going to ask my mom to help me start up a youth program at her church. I am still young in Christianity but my mom will make an excellent teacher. I will just be there to assist.. I think that God is leading me to get things moving here. Please pray that I am successful..
OK I have rambled once again.. I am a really chatty person thats home with my children all day and you guys are the only adult conversation I have. Don't get me wrong I can play barbies, store and beauty parlor with the best of them..lol..
I really feel I have grown into a better person by joining the crochet groups where I have met so many fellow Christian ladies. I have gained so many new friends.. two of my best.. are Anna and Melanie at Lullabies and Lace.. I could post the names of the other ladies i am getting close to but this is my blog ..not by book..lol.. I want everyone to know how much I value your friendship and your conversation. All your ladies are so special to me...
May you have a blessed night...

I have to agree that you and Anna have become good friends to me as well! I am so glad that you and your hubby are okay. I can't imagine witnessing that many accidents. Glad you were able to run your errands though! Still no baby though. ;)
Oh dear...what a scarry road. With my driving habits, I am afraid that if I lived there I would give up driving all together.
Misty dear...you have become a dear friend to me as well. You and Melanie both. You two are the best friends I could ever hope to have on the internet. Isn't this internet thing great when used for God's glory? Poeple like us (the Barbie and block playing type) really need this internet to reach out to other woman.
I will pray for you in your new endeavors with your church.
Misty~~
I too am glad that you and your hubby are both ok. Just another example of God's plans for us.
I am glad that I have met you and been given the opprtunity to get to know you through the boards.
Have a blessed day!!
Definitely sounds like a scary road and glad that you and your hubby are safe. We have about the same luck, always coming across the accidents and having the close calls. God has kept us safe and also put us in situations to where we have been able to help.
You are also a very special friend to me as well, just follow your heart and God's will and you will be ok. You will be in my prayers. Yes the internet when used wisely like this can be a wonderful thing to reach out to others and create wonderful christian friendships, and of course those of us that still like our blocks and Barbies, lol
